they looked pretty cool.

XPD SVCD RULES (Updated 4/9/03)
1. No CBR crap, minimum 4 pass CCE. CBR=Crapped Beyond Repair.
Bitrate AVG will not preceed 1600k-1700k. Max will be 2520k.
Never will DVD2SVCD be used.
2. IMDB ratings don't mean anything, One man's garbage is
another man's gold.
3. Commentary is added if possible/available. In this case
will audio be 192k+128k. Max video 2400k
4. 125 min WS 2 cds, 120 min FS 2 cds. Over those times will
be 3 cds. Over 180 4 CDs (rare)
5. Will always repair/redo our rips if bad. NO EXCEPTIONS!
We at XPD have QC (Quality Control), and will not stoop to low
bitrates or CBR 1 pass SVCDs. We are not scared of group nukes
or getting beat in a race for going the extra mile for the
end-user. We hope to be around along time.
The reason we make SVCD (Video CDs) is to provide and promote
the sale of the DVD. Everything on the DVD is not on the SVCD
and the DVD is far better quality. The United States Net Act
allows you to hold a copy of this for 180 days (6 months) then
you must discard this SVCD. We urge everyone to buy the original
DVD because this SVCD only provides some of it's contents.

ATTN to the idiot who knows nothing on SVCDs:

In order to produce commentary (ie: more audio)
something has to be lost. So we scrape a little off
the top of both video and audio. If we use the retarded
stardards set by the classic groups, then neither
224k audio nor 2450k video could be met in any
senerio. So whoever made those rules should be reading
this.
We produce Commentary with 192+128= 310k audio (which is
higher then 224k overall) and reducing the max video to
2400k. If somehow we made the Audio 224+224 then the
video would be somewhere in the ballpark of 2250k,
which would look like crap. If the video was 2450k then
the audio would be 160+128. We been doing it this way
for a long time. So you feel the need to release a
gay proper by waiting 1 or 2 weeks or recoding a DVD-R,
then help yourselfs. We're only doing this to bring you
more.
