Newly graduated psychiatrist Sam and his fiancee
Alex move to Los Angeles for Sam's residency, into
Sam's mother's house in upscale Laurel Canyon.
Only problem is, Sam's mother is still there,
supposedly finishing up a record that she's producing
for the band of her new boy toy, Ian. She seems
more interested in smoking pot and drinking than
actually working, though. Alex doesn't mind, but
Sam is quite upset. Alex starts off focused on her
work (finishing a dissertation on genomics), but is
soon distracted by the rock-'n-roll lifestyle going
on around her. Meanwhile, Sam is equally distracted
by beautiful Israeli intern Sara.

This isn't a musical like imdb states it. They even
say 'Rock Star' is a comedy and not a musical. Like ok?!
Or like 8 Mile which just had open lyrics which they
rated as a musical too. Like WTF. imdb needs a clue.
Musical is like Grease or Wizard of OZ. Not this movie.
So if your into musicals, don't say we didn't tell you
so with this one. Some music in it, but definatly not a
musical.

XPD SVCD RULES (Updated 4/9/03)
1. No CBR crap, minimum 4 pass CCE. CBR=Crapped Beyond Repair.
Bitrate AVG will not preceed 1600k-1700k. Max will be 2520k.
Never will DVD2SVCD be used.
2. IMDB ratings don't mean anything, One man's garbage is
another man's gold.
3. Commentary is added if possible/available. In this case
audio will be 192k+128k. Max video 2400k. But now the
scene loves to proper, so less will be done here.
4. Times will vary pending action to lenth.
5. Will always repair/redo our rips if bad. NO EXCEPTIONS!
We at XPD have QC (Quality Control), and will not stoop to low
bitrates or CBR 1 pass SVCDs. We are not scared of group nukes
or getting beat in a race for going the extra mile for the
end-user. We hope to be around along time.
The reason we make SVCD (Video CDs) is to provide and promote
the sale of the DVD. Everything on the DVD is not on the SVCD
and the DVD is far better quality. The United States Net Act
allows you to hold a copy of this for 180 days (6 months) then
you must discard this SVCD. We urge everyone to buy the original
DVD because this SVCD only provides some of it's contents.
