The title says it all: Tupac Shakur was as much angel
as outlaw. Unlike some of the other profiles made in
the wake of his passing, Thug Angel doesn't focus only
on the first few days of his career or the last few days
before his death, but on his entire life. That makes it
valuable as much for the fan as for the merely curious.
The production was backed by friends and associates and
includes never-before-seen material. It's surprisingly
evenhanded, juxtaposing footage of Tupac at 17, for
example--sounding mature beyond his years--with an
interview conducted years later on a shooting range.
Passion was still in full effect, but idealism had been
replaced by paranoia. Peter Spirer's film is a
documentary, not a music video, and contains only
snippets of Tupac's work. At its best, Thug Angel makes
a compelling case for his continued relevance as an
artist and activist.

Reason for Proper: Eviliso's SVCD was nuked because
it was Bad Aspect (4:3 rendered at 16:9, which created
a WS effect and smooshed head appearance, the DVD is
Fullscreen not Widesceen), Audio was off sync, and a
bad cut between CDs. On top of that you couldn't view
the bitrate because of the bad image they made. I
didn't try and burn it cause I didn't want to waste
the CDs. We included their sample in our Sample
directory. You can't play in WinDVD only Windows
media player.
I know it's kinda ghey to proper Eviliso's screwup
rip on a documentry. But some of us get kinda upset
when we download a bad rip. (No names mentioned, hehe)

XPD SVCD RULES
1. No CBR crap, min 2 pass TMPGEnc or 4 pass CCE. CBR=Crapped
Beyond Repair. FILM 23.976 (2 Pass TMPGEnc 1.2) and NTSC
29.970 (4 Pass CCE 2.5) for best pic. Exceptions may apply
to fast action movies. Bitrate AVG will not preceed 1700k.
2. IMDB ratings don't mean anything, One man's garbage is
another man's gold.
3. Commentary is added if possible/available
4. 125 min WS 2 cds, 120 min FS 2 cds. Over those times will
be 3 cds. Over 180 4 CDs (rare)
5. Will always repair/redo our rips if bad. NO EXCEPTIONS!
We at XPD have QC (Quality Control), and will not stoop to low
bitrates or CBR 1 pass SVCDs. We are not scared of group nukes
or getting beat in a race for going the extra mile for the
end-user. We hope to be around along time.
The reason we make SVCD (Video CDs) is to provide and promote
the sale of the DVD. Everything on the DVD is not on the SVCD
and the DVD is far better quality. The United States Net Act
allows you to hold a copy of this for 180 days (6 months) then
you must discard this SVCD. We urge everyone to buy the original
DVD because this SVCD only provides some of it's contents.
