About a year ago we began to release shows in CVD
and gave a lot of reasons why it was a good format.
Compatibility with DVDR being a huge reason since
CVD is a legal dvd format known as D1 1/2 and is
very easy to manipulate and author on dvd. And
does not require re-encoding or tricks to make it
compatible.
Recently we noticed other groups coming to this
conclusion and noted a reason cited for why CVD is
a good format is the fact it supports bitrates way
above SVCD. However when made to fit on a cd that
functionality is lost as the bitrate cant be greater
due to the constraints of a cdr and it only becomes
video that could be used on a dvdr.
We decided to push the envelope again and bring this
fully authored CVD release. This is a bit of a test
run for us and we realise the subject matter may not
of interest to everyone. It is however worth taking a
look at what we did. Its representative of things to
come.
Also we'd like to give a shout to our friends in
Cheetah-TV who suggested some filters we used on this.
Seems they can be slightly more useful then a used tampax
when they want to be.
Also a nod to Crimson and all the other groups who make
this all happen.
