þ Our friends (really? we don't even know'em :p) at videocd þ
þ tried to pull off a pirated asian dvd5 as the dvd9 retail. þ
þ Turns out, if you live in asia, or have a supply that comes þ
þ from there, u can get DVD5's before the dvd9's! The DVD is þ
þ "dvdshrinked" into a DVD5 and rls'ed to the pirate market þ
þ and a week or so later, its original DVD9 format is þ
þ released (Just like the CAM=>TS=>TS SVCD market works). þ
þ But u ask what proof we have? Well, it was quite simple, þ
þ we just opened our eyes and looked, and for you to do same þ
þ just peek into the Proper subdirectory, you shall find 2 þ
þ bmp's and 2 vobs, one from the REAL RETAIL that isn't and þ
þ one from a r3 or so "so called" retail. The pictures speak þ
þ for themselves, and the vobs, well, a simple comparision þ
þ of the video bitrates will maybe enlighten u. Rest assured, þ
þ we don't doubt any little bit the fact that VideoCD was þ
þ aware of the doubtness of thier release before they pre'd, þ
þ anyhows, enjoy this high quality rls þ
