| | PLOT: | ||

| | Thanit Jitnukul’s films have spanned genres from comedy to | :|
| | romance to crime drama to historical epic. His 2001 film Bang | o|
| | Rajan won 11 prizes including Best Picture and Best Director at| |
| | the Surasawadee Thai Film Awards. An epic tale of war, Sema, | |
| | The Warrior Of Ayodhaya is set at the dawn of the 17th century,| |
| | during Thailand’s legendary struggle against the Burmese and | |
| | their King Burengnong. Sema is a swordmaker’s son and budding | |
| | fighter who goes to work as a swordsman’s trainer in the | |
| | household of Khun Raam. There he meets Rayrai, Raam’s beautiful| |
| | daughter, who is unfortunately already engaged against her will| |
| | to the arrogant Moo Khaan, the top fighter of Sri Ayudhaya. | |
| | Khaan becomes livid when he realizes that his new wife is in | |
| | love with Sema, and the two men become archrivals. Their feud | |
| | culminates in a royal duel, pitting these two very different | |
| | warriors against each other. Only one of them can take the | |
| | coveted position of Royal Elephant Feet Keeper, the warrior who| |
| | will protect King Naresuan’s elephant in the Great Battle of | |
| | Yuthahathi. | |
