AKA is the story of a disaffected youth's search
for love, status, and identity in late 1970s Britain.
18-year old Dean is handsome and bright, but feels
hampered by his working-class background and by his
family. In order to make something of himself, Dean
assumes another identity and manages to enter high
society. As he navigates this decadent new world,
he meets a host of characters, including David, an
older gay man who desires him, and Benjamin, a young
hustler from Texas who has also managed to find a
place among the aristocracy. Can Dean find love while
living a lie? How much is he willing to sacrifice in
order to pull off his charade? Director Duncan Roy
impressively presents AKA through three simultaneous
frames rather than one, offering the audience a deeper
and more complex perspective through which to view
Dean's engrossing story.

XPD SVCD RULES (Updated 4/9/03)
1. No CBR crap, minimum 4 pass CCE. CBR=Crapped Beyond Repair.
Bitrate AVG will not preceed 1600k-1700k. Max will be 2520k.
Never will DVD2SVCD be used.
2. IMDB ratings don't mean anything, One man's garbage is
another man's gold.
3. Commentary is added if possible/available. In this case
audio will be 192k+128k. Max video 2400k. But now the
scene loves to proper, so less will be done here.
4. Times will vary pending action to lenth.
5. Will always repair/redo our rips if bad. NO EXCEPTIONS!
We at XPD have QC (Quality Control), and will not stoop to low
bitrates or CBR 1 pass SVCDs. We are not scared of group nukes
or getting beat in a race for going the extra mile for the
end-user. We hope to be around along time.
The reason we make SVCD (Video CDs) is to provide and promote
the sale of the DVD. Everything on the DVD is not on the SVCD
and the DVD is far better quality. The United States Net Act
allows you to hold a copy of this for 180 days (6 months) then
you must discard this SVCD. We urge everyone to buy the original
DVD because this SVCD only provides some of it's contents.
