Based on a short story by H.P. Lovecraft, the
undisputed master of the macabre, Dagon tells
the story of Paul Marsh, a young man who discovers
that the truth will not set him free instead it
condemns him to a waking nightmare of unrelenting
horror. A boating accident off the coast of Spain
sends Paul and his girlfriend Barbara to the
decrepit fishing village of Imboca looking for
help. As night falls, people start to disappear
and things not quite human start to appear.
Paul finds himself pursued by the entire town.
Running for his life, he uncovers Imboca's dark
secret: that they pray to Dagon, a monstrous god
of the sea. And Dagon's unholy offspring are
freakish half-human creatures on the loose in Imboca...

The difference between our rip and the EM rip of
dagon is ours is USA, Widescreen, and 98 min.
Theirs was EU, Bad AR labeled FS, and 95 min. DVD Scan
in the Sample directory showing 98 min. We didn't do
this to mislabel as a limited release like some groups do.
We did this cause we wanted a proper rip of the USA
retail. Enjoy another great Horror Flick from XPD.
FYI: This DVD was not encrypted. Instead they manually
placed error files in the last VOB file to make it
unable to render the movie past 1 pass. These error
files just skip over in the standalone but not on a PC.
This is just a warning of new protection to anyone else
who may see it. All Lion Gate DVDs will have them.

XPD SVCD RULES
1. No CBR crap, min 2 pass TMPGEnc or 4 pass CCE. CBR=Crapped
Beyond Repair. FILM 23.976 (2 Pass TMPGEnc 1.2) and NTSC
29.970 (4 Pass CCE 2.5) for best pic. Exceptions may apply
to fast action movies. Bitrate AVG will not preceed 1700k.
2. IMDB ratings don't mean anything, One man's garbage is
another man's gold.
3. Commentary is added if possible/available
4. 125 min WS 2 cds, 120 min FS 2 cds. Over those times will
be 3 cds. Over 180 4 CDs (rare)
5. Will always repair/redo our rips if bad. NO EXCEPTIONS!
We at XPD have QC (Quality Control), and will not stoop to low
bitrates or CBR 1 pass SVCDs. We are not scared of group nukes
or getting beat in a race for going the extra mile for the
end-user. We hope to be around along time.
The reason we make SVCD (Video CDs) is to provide and promote
the sale of the DVD. Everything on the DVD is not on the SVCD
and the DVD is far better quality. The United States Net Act
allows you to hold a copy of this for 180 days (6 months) then
you must discard this SVCD. We urge everyone to buy the original
DVD because this SVCD only provides some of it's contents.
