ù After much debate amongst ourselves we decided that this release
is necessary. Below we have listed the previous releases and the
reasons why they are bad.
Closer.DVDR-MPTDVD
- Reason: Once again MPTDVD has used DVDShrink and as a result the
quality of their release is much less than what we have come to
expect from a DVDR. The original DVDR rules specifically state that
CCE must be used whenever any re-encoding is done. This rule was
agreed upon for a good reason and should never be ignored. If you
can't figure out how to use CCE then you should leave the releasing
up to those with the skills necessary to provide everyone with a
quailty release.
Closer.PROPER.DVDR-CORRuPT
- Reason: While this release might not be DVDShrink (at least if it
is we are unable to prove it to ourselves at this point in time) it
is interlaced. Aproximately 10% of the total movie is interlaced.
This is due to a lack of proper inverse telecining. This particular
movie contains pattern changes in the telecining process and can
not be force filmed like most movies. Adding a couple of additional
lines in avisynth clears this problem right up.
Closer.REAL.PROPER.DVDR-ShinBet
- Reason: The nominal bitrate isn't tagged at 9800kbps so its
definitely not a DVDShrink. However, the video on this release is
still interlaced the same amount as Corrupt's is.
Can anyone say 4th time is the charm? :(
One must question the sanity of 2 groups that bust out propers
yet still leave the movie interlaced. Aren't one of prerequisites
for propering actually testing the release you are propering.
What kind of proper retains the same mistakes? Apparently this is what
it has come down to in the DVDR scene. Speed seems to be taking
precidence over quality. Groups such as MPTDVD and ShinBet use
one click programs either because they are exceptionally fast,
because they don't how to use CCE, or because they just don't
care about quality. This leads us to ask the question of why these
groups even bother releasing in the first place. They certainly
don't get any respect from us or anyone else that cares about
quality. All they do is waste people's time, bandwidth, and
blank media. We suspect MPTDVD and ShinBet aren't the only ones
guilty of using one click programs but others have done a much
better job of concealing it. Anyway this shit has got to stop.
Learn how to use cce and learn how to use it properly. If you
don't we will just have to keep propering. Until next time we
leave you with a riddle: what claims to be 4241kbps average 7 pass
CCE and is still blurry and as shity looking as any other one click
DVDR?
