²³ New Guinea, 1942. The battle for the track has begun. A decimated platoon of ³±
²³ Australian soldiers from the 39th battalion have been set as a forward patrol far ³±
²³ outside the perimeter of Isurava, a village on the Kokoda track. After sustained ³±
²³ bombing and lethal attacks from the Japanese, the men are cut off from their ³±
²³ supply lines and all communications. Isolated in the jungle behind enemy lines, ³±
²³ they must make their way back through the most perilous terrain on earth to get to ³±
²³ the main body of Australian troops. Allegiances form, strengths and weaknesses ³±
²³ emerge, and leadership battles threaten to destroy the group... After three days ³±
²³ with no food or sleep, carrying their wounded, and suffering the effects of ³±
