1 - Death Has A Shadow

Peter gets drunk at a stag party and wakes up the following day with
a terrible hang-over. He screws up at work allowing dangerous toys to
pass by his safety checks. Mr Weed (Peter's boss) sacks him.
Peter is afraid to tell Lois what has happened and signs up for
benefits without letting her know. When the check comes, it is for way
more than it should be. Peter doesn't inform the authorities and
instead claims that he's had a pay rise to Lois.
2 - I Never Met The Dead Man
S01E02/1ACX02
First Aired: 11 April 1999
Peter teaches Meg how to drive, but on the way home after Meg's failed
test Peter crashes into a satellite dish and knocks out cable TV in
Quahog. He tells Meg that if she covers for him, he'll buy her a car when
she passes her test.
Peter now has to get used to life without television, but starts to go
crazy. Lois finally gets him to make sense of the situation, and tells him
he should use this time to spend with his family. Unfortunately Peter
starts to drive his family mad with his wanting to go out and about with
them all the time.
Meanwhile Stewie is construction a weather controlling machine to destroy
the broccoli.
3 - Mind Over Murder
S01E04/1ACX03
First Aired: 25 April 1999
Lois asks Peter to take Chris to his soccer game, and asks him to be back
in time to look after Stewie while she does her piano lessons, but at the
game Peter sees Quagmire and joins him to watch the match. While at the
game Peter ends up punching a pregnant woman who looks more like a man,
after she insults Chris. Peter is put under house arrest for his crime.
Lois is enjoying having Peter around the house all day, but Peter has the
opposite thoughts. He decides to build a bar in the basement so that his
friends can come around while he can't leave his home. Lois is horrified
when she discovers what Peter has done.
To keep Lois quiet Peter lets her sing in the bar one evening, and tells
the guys to claim they liked it. The guys love it, and Lois really enjoys
herself. Lois decides to make this a regular occurrence and soon the men
of Quahog are coming to watch Lois rather than come to spend time with
Peter.
4 - Chitty Chitty Death Bang
S01E03/1ACX04
First Aired: 18 April 1999
Stewie's first birthday is fast approaching and Lois has made plans for
the big party to take place at Cheesy Charlie's. Lois tells Peter to take
the deposit down there, but Peter messes up (what a surprise), and has to
make new arrangements for the party.
Stewie is uneasy about all the attention to the anniversary of his escape
from his mothers womb, and tries to escape fearing that the man in the
white coat will return.
Meanwhile Meg has made a friend at school, who invites her to a party on
the same Saturday as Stewie's birthday celebrations.
5 - A Hero Sits Next Doors
S01E05/1ACX05
First Aired: 02 May 1999
A new family move into the house next to the Griffin's and Lois keeps
trying to get Peter to say hello to them, but he's just not interested.
But when Peter injures the star player of the Happy-Go-Lucky baseball team
he has to swallow his pride and invite the new neighbour Joe to play on the
team (otherwise he would lose his job).
At the game Peter discovers that Joe is confined to a wheelchair, but soon
learns that this doesn't limit Joe who turns out to be a great baseball
player. After the game everyone crowds around Joe: Mr Weed, his work mates
and even his family. Peter gets very jealous and decides to take action to
prove he can be a hero.
6 - The Son Also Draws
S01E06/1ACX06
First Aired: 09 May 1999
Chris is fed up with being in the scouts and wants to quit so that he can
spend more time drawing, but Peter doesn't want to know. When Chris finally
gets chucked out of the scouts by the scout leader, Peter takes the whole
family (except for Brian) off to New York to get Chris back in.
On the way to New York the Griffin's have to stop off at an American Indian
Casino for a toilet break. Whilst searching for someone for directions to
New York, Lois ends up giving the slot machines a go. She soon gets hooked
and loses the family car with her bad gambling luck.
Peter tries to get the car back by claiming that he belongs to the Indian
tribe running the casino and requests his share of the profits. The
management committee consider what Peter is claiming and send him off on a
vision quest to discover whether or not he is a true Indian.
7 - Brian - Portrait Of A Dog
S01E07/1ACX07
First Aired: 16 May 1999
It's very hot in Quahog, and the Griffin family are beginning to feel the
heat. They need air conditioning, but just don't have the money. It is
decided that Brian should enter a Dog contest to win the family some money.
Brian objects to the suggestion, but Peter insists that they go ahead and
enter him.
Brian goes along with everything, but once he is taking part in the contest
he starts to have second thoughts. Midway through his turn he decides to
ignore Peter's orders and walks off the field.
In the car on the way home things are tense and Brian decides to walk home
instead. Later at the house Brian turns up after being pulled up by the dog
wardens.

Since the original DVD was 7.2GB in size, we reencoded the video with five
passes, yielding a fair quality at a low bitrate and no need to change
discs.
At a closer look, the original video showed some strange, blocky scenes and
tiny flickering artifacts, so do not complain, it's not our fault if it's
still there.
