Synopsis:
Cecilia Cheung portrays a young lady of the Sung Dynasty
called Liu who is beautiful but obstinate and a true fighter, which
is why she is still single. One day she argues with one of her dates,
as usual, but at the time she is about to lose, Chen (Louis Koo) a
smart and good-looking poet, appears and settles the battle in a
civilized way and the two end up liking each other.When Chen attends
a poetry assembly, Liu is the only one who appreciates his work and
Chen is touched.
When the Emperor hears of their story, he decides to arrange
a marriage between this pair. Chen soon doubts if the Emperor has made
the right move and Liu, now Chen's wife and also his personal assistant
as well as financial controller, keeps him away from his own friends.
This makes Chen unhappy but, interestingly enough, their intimacy
grows through their disagreements.
Later Liu goes on a business trip for Chen's brother and Chen
dedicates himself to writing. However, one night he is seduced by a
princess who transforms herself into a rabbit. The Emperor then orders
Chen to take the princess as a concubine but Liu strongly objects...

from irc-Dalnet and has expanded over to irc-Efnet in early 2001
