Plot:
In the Hong Kong of the future a young man named Nova finds himself
and his family in danger, when his father's legacy, a martial art style known as
Avenging Fist, draws the attention of the leader of an underground rebellion know
as the Red Dragons. The leader, Combat 21, wants to learn the final secrets of
the art and combine it with, his power glove to increase his power. But what
Nova doesn't realize the truth of what really happened to his father.

* There seems to be a great deal of debate about this film being a Tekken movie,
and as such many fans are disappointed with it. Not having been a follower of the
Tekken game series or storyline (I am a Streetfighter junkie), I found this to be
a better film than most. Still, I certainly understand what it feels like to have
a your favorite storyline and characters raped by film studios (a certain Van
Damme film still rots in my brain). It also is interesting to note that the VCD
closing credits specifically state that this is this film has no relation to Tekken.
However, I do not recall seeing this at the time of the theatrical screening
(although it may well have been there).
"After close to a year of behind-the-scenes wrangling, the legal dispute between
the producers of the Tekken movie and Namco -- the makers of the Tekken video game
-- has finally been resolved. Consequently, the Wong Jing produced, Andrew Lau
directed HK$30 million (US$3.8 million) action blockbuster will hit HK screens during
the upcoming Christmas holiday movie season. The film stars Chin Kar-Lok, Kristy Yang,
Stephen Fung, Gigi Leung, Lee Hom-Wang and Sammo Hung. Shot last July, the release of
the film was blocked when Namco launched a lawsuit last September contending that the
film infringed on its copyright. The case, apparently, has been settled out of court
as the producers have reportedly paid a cash settlement to Namco and have agreed to
change the name of the movie from Tekken to Kuen Sun Juen Suet (literally translated
as Legend of the Fist Master). Asked for a comment by reporters from The Sun, Andrew
Lau said: 'Actually, the case was settled a long time ago. The reason the movie
hasn't been released yet is because there is extensive post-production and many
special effects that have to be done. Also, we were waiting for a good time to
release it!'".
