notes: mad props to our friends at UTi for beating us to the
initial release of this film, it was excellent quality
but their dvd screener was the retailer version which
contained various watermarks which plagued the video.
our copy is the academy version which is for awards
consideration and has NO watermarks during playback
(we didn't tamper with the vobs to remove watermarks,
etc. [for those haters who were wondering]). universal
apparently produced 2 versions of this dvd screener
and as proof of this... there is only 1 studio notice
at the beginning of our version which specifies it's
purpose as opposed to the previous version which
contained the following 3 watermarks during playback:
- "property of universal"
- "for SALES screening purposes only. content and
functionality of the dvd may differ from the final
product"
- "if you have rented or purchased the dvd call 1-800-
NO COPYS."
- also no studio/academy warning before feature
these messages were displayed through the entirety of
the UTi version. anyways, once again props to our
friends at UTi... we wouldn't have preferred to lose
the race against anyone else but you guys (or TcS) and
it was an extremely difficult decision for us to release
this proper but it IS an entirely different source. Best
of luck in 2003 and much respect from the TCF staff!
