Hey now,

Ive use TMPG before, however im runnin on a slowww machine and dont have the time to encode. Plus, I didnt bother installing it when I had to wipe out my hard drive. I had Nero and with it , Nero Vision. It worked for me for other releases.

I have created a DVD of this release, my stand-alone Divx player is routed through my Panasonic E30, so while I watched the movie I made a DVDR of it.

Thanks for the suggestion of DVD2SVCD, I will look into it.

Waht were the setting you used. I know the SVCD is PAL but does it matter for this xvid. I want to use the most space I can on a DVD because it natuarally equals better quality.

tried winavi 6.2 and it didnt split mine into 2 vobs...

heres the settings i used for wotw xvid...

first i used nandub to join the 2 xvid together then i load up winavi 6.2 to make it into a dvd...

constant video quality - output setting: higher
target format: ntsc
aspect ratio: auto
preference: by quality
audiobitrate: 224000
enable directac3: checked

i converted to ntsc because my dvdplayer is gay, and also set it to 4:3, because i dont have a widescreen tv and whenever i do 16:9 it doesnt display properly. i set the disc size to 4500 Megs, the setting thing to quality over speed, and blah blah, turned out fine, especially when played on the tv.

avi to DVD

there are so many methods to use that i'm surprised this thread is only 2 pages. I have been doing this for years and i have learned the quickest way with best results. No need to join .avis if you go this route. Use DVD2SVCD w/ Cinema Craft Encoder and load the .avi file Aspect Ratio Dropdown select add borders. CD Image tab: no images. Audio tab:set to 224 bitrate. Bitrate tab: set CD sizes to 800 and max average to 4000. Convert the .avi. In C:\Program Files\DVD2SVCD\Movie folder you will find the finished mpeg as well as extracted audio and video files. Move the mpeg to dsesired folder and delete the rest of the large files. Do the 2nd .avi if there is one. Run the mpeg through Mainconcept if you need to convert PAL to NTSC. If not continue the process using DVDLab Pro to convert to .vob for burning.
