isnt it something to do with internet being mega bits rather than bytes, so you can roughly divide by 10 and see what speed you shoudl be getting (u can use 8 but you have to take into account overheads)....so a 20 mb connection should pull about 2 meg on average...my 19meg reaches 2.3meg download speeds
sometimes for a sustained period!

^^^^ correct. If it was referring to his actual line speed, it would have said 20Mb/s (note the lowercase "b").

I'd say that where the speed is reported as 0.2MB/s is where he's exceeded the Virgin download limit and his line has then been capped for x hours. Virgin is generally quite consistent unless they are limiting you (or at least it was when I had the 20Mb/s package... I would usually get 2.3MB/s download).

Ive changed that graph to MB to show people how much I was losing , you can switch it between MB ,Mb , KB ,Kb.

If i change it to Mb it shows my best result as 19.19Mb. Which for a 20Mb line is awesome , but those past results are shockingly shit.

Ive not really downloaded any more Or less than what i usually do and ive NEVER had speeds as good as what im getting now.

So no idea why it's suddenly changed but now i'm aware of it if it drops that dramatically again they'll be gettiing an angry phonecall.

While TOR is decent for anonymity, it sux for speed. Check out the network map and keep hitting 'Use A New Identify' until you get a connection with decent speeds.
