LOL....

I call it "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre"
WITHOUT the Texas, without the Chainsaw,

I must have been watching a diff. release than some of these ppl, cuz nothing seems to ever be good enough.

the audio is way above average for a pre
the picture, although a bit blocky, is nothing to bitch about. period.

the movie, yeah i can see why some people were let down. but i liked it, nice and demented, without any lame cgi. the fact that certain events in the movie are disregarded later on i blame on the massive cuts Rob apparently had to make, not that it was an incomplete screener or something.

good release.

i agree with you.
some strange cutscenes....
so i guess there might be a nice directors cut.

souldnt this rip have fit onto one cd, it says runtime 1:03, last time i checked u could fit 70 mins onto a 750meg cdr.
then again it 5 in the morning and i jsut woke up,

The video and audio quality were great, too bad the movie sucked balls. I like watching stupid slasher movies, such as Friday the 13th and Nightmare on Elm street, but this movie was just like one big fucked up acid trip. I've liked White Zombie since I was in middle school, so I'm a long time Rob fan, but even my being a huge fan couldnt change the fact that this movie just plain old sucks.

This was pretty good for a vhs screener. I don't know much, but it looked like the tape had been viewed a few times. The tracking was just slightly off. Is that what made the counter jumpy? The audio was good, but loud as hell.

Overall though, nice pre. 5/6/3

I thought the visual and audio quality was decent, but the movie in general was pretty weak. I liked the first 10 minutes, hated the next hour, and then liked the last 10-20. Things started gettting good finally when the girl was lowered down in the casket. It was a bit late at that point to save the film though.

It also looks like it was originally shot on video and then transfered to film. I wonder what type of camera he used.

Just to add my thoughts, video and audio is fine, ample for this film.

About the film. It's fucking awful. There's no two ways about it. 'Musicians' (Used in the loosest sense of the word) should not be allowed to write and direct films... especially not horrors... just LOOK at what happened with Cradle of Fear, this isn't quite as bad as that but it's pretty close.

awesome

took me a while to get it (like a week after release) but i loved it.
video was ok, audio was great. i was blind to the counter after like 2 mins.

i did manage to make it onto 1 cd...i cut off the 10 seconds at the beginning (lions gate screen) and all the credits. it turned out to 80:58 (807 megs) and somehow it burned.

Thumbs up Awesome Flick!

Well.. I must say. I've been looking forward to this movie for nearly 2 years now...

Once I put the 1st cd in, I was hooked... Everyone else that has watched it at the house, says it is the greatest Reality movie..

This movie is, in my opinion, one of the scariest movies in quite a few years...

Reason it is scary... It is life.. Not for me.. But someone out there is living this life.. Who knows.. Maybe it is your neighbor...

Makes ya wonder if it was all shot with Rob's home video camera, then edited into a movie.. Which makes it even that much more real..

Ratings..
VIDEO : 6 .. A little blurry, but Very watchable...
AUDIO : 8 ... Sounded great thru the sterio speakers..
Movie : 9 .. borderline 10................

Personally.. I am going to watch this on opening day at the theater..

what the hell was that?

i've seen some crappy horror movies, but that was a crappy horror movie :P

release wasn't bad for a vhscreener. good color. good sound. i'm still not sure what i watched, though...

7/8/?

Kinda scared that this will haunt me forever... Rob Zombie, director of a horror movie scares me already. I have the movie on CD's but am afraid it will fuck me up watching it. I think I will watch it.... The quality is NOT bad at all! For a 2 month pre you cant complain about a little blurryness, and a haunted counter LOL. (watched sample)

sorry for bumpin' a really old thread, but this release of this is freakin perfecktamundo...

nothin' better than VHS to bring out the crappiness of a crapy movie...

this one shoulda been made back in the late 80's...

the dvdrip of this won't feel right till the director's cut is distributed...

if you've managed to not see this, get the crappy VHS copy...
