How does this score so highly when so much of the frame has been cropped. Think I'd rather put up with the subs a see the whole movie.

I that's your bag fair enough but I couldn't rate this above the ESO.

Nice Colors
Clear Picture
Good sound
A few minor glitches

BUT, the bottom 20% has been cut off !!!

Centropy, Please don't cut the bottom !!!

I don't mind the Jay Leno effect!!!

Just don't cut anything !!!

The two CD's together are 100 minutes long - the runtime of the movie is 134 minutes.

What's missing is one of the best parts of the movie.

How about you people watch the release before you vote.

Unbelievable...

I won't even bother voting since its missing 20% of the movie.

I'm not sure which "best parts" of the movie you think were missing, maybe the credits? I've watched it all the way through and as far i'm concerned it's all accounted for, the first cd runs 62:20, cd 2 runs 62:23, total is 124. 43. Maybe I missed something, but i've seen this twice in the theatres and once at home and didn't notice any missing scenes, you want to explain where they are?

Thumbs up

Centropy is leading the pack...

Nice rls... Video is great, lil' cropped, but you dont miss anything... Sound is nice, no crackling... Movie is great...

I didn't notice any missing scenes, or anywhere they could be missing, and my ctp version did go about 2 seconds into the credits.

NICE!!!

Thought this was great ... back to the good 'ol days of centropy, clear video nice, sound maybe slightly hollow but great all the same, and most importantly no angle!

the movie is in pal, you'll need to reencode it to ntsc if your dvd player doesn't support it

thought so but wanted to get another opinnion, thanx mrplow.

Posted by MrPlow on 05-09-2003 01:40 AM:

Your welcome drtommypickles,

anybody else got this problem while converting to NTSC, the converted file is more than 1Go way too big to fit on a 80min cd. Should I merge and cut it to fit the movie on 3 cds ?

Posted by Scorch on 05-09-2003 02:33 PM:

The sample looked a bit.. well, odd, so I didn't grab it first off.. man, am I kicking myself now!

The cropping doesn't have you miss anything.. trust me.. i've seen the movie twice at the theatre and the eso version two times.. you're not missing anything..

It almost blew my socks off when Professor X did the "Mutants.." thing at the beginning. The sound is easily a 9.5 or a 10. The video is very good, as well. Clear picture, good colors, great sound.. unreal.

8/9/10

Only problem is the.. well, don't want to put a spoiler here, but it involves Wolverine and a Mansion.. yeah, that whole scene is fairly dark.. haven't seen the end fight yet, but i'm afraid that'll be dark as well.

Posted by lvlarc_uk on 05-09-2003 07:40 PM:

hey guys yeh i knows its a weeny bit dark but just turn up the brightness on ur tv when watching it and its perfection

Posted by ErrorS on 05-10-2003 10:38 AM:

was a bit dark and audio was low.. dunno if its my dvd players fault but it was tough getting a good picture and loud enough sound

either way.. good picture, good audio, good movie..

Rearly sumtime i dont know why u people moan!

the films works fine and looks okay obviously its not better than watchin it at the pics (in some cases it mite be) but its second best.

I've watched it on my Pc some bits like the school raid were a little dark , it is nite, but its still watchable and if i was to watch it on my dvd player then i just turn the brightness up a bit!

overall the films is'nt anythin special

I'd like to post a formal retraction of my statement and an apology for being an idiot.

I had converted the bin files to MPG with VCDGear, but it only converted each disk to a 50 minute mpg. I recently just burned the disks and I see that the entire movie is there. I dont know why it happenned, it's never done that before.

Anyways, sorry for being a dolt.

thx Centropy

cropped a bit too much?

anyone else notice a decent amount of picture missing? especially at the bottom (case in point: rogue and iceman kiss, rogue exhales a frost)

Posted by wickedbull on 05-12-2003 07:38 AM:

Usual CTP Quality
7(Video)- Dark in some scenes, some cut off.
7.5(Audio)-Good audio, not hard to understand.
6(Movie)- Not as good as it was hyped up to be and very long, still enjoyed it.

Good movie for x-men fans, asians are hot

Posted by ShuntingShunter on 05-12-2003 05:37 PM:

Nice rip. Works for me. CTP's TS releases seem to be better than a lot of screeners these days - good effort.

As for the PAL bitching, I suggest you guys get down to BestBuy and get a better DVD player - mine plays it fine and was cheap as shit.

Posted by HomeSlice on 05-12-2003 11:18 PM:

This is an amazing release! At a quick glance, it could be mistaken for a dvd rip (Like I said, QUICK glance) and the audio is superb. As far as ts's go I give this a 8.5/9/x (I have only watched the first couple of minuites of the release, as to get a feel for the quality, therefore I cannot actually commment on the movie itself.

I can't wait to see their (if they do) release of Reloaded!
