-- Gas Prices (http://www.vcdhq.com/forum/showthread.php?threadid=65498)
Petrol is €1.079 per litre here in Ireland. I know an area manager for a major oil company here who says that in the next 6 to 12 months or less price will be the least of our worries as there is going to be a shortage worldwide and it will be rationed out to petrol stations.

Not because of any sort of shortage, just 'cause we fucking feel like it

I've held back as long as possible!
I cant stand the whinging anymore. I dont think there is much you can list which we dont pay more for. You are still only paying 80cents a litre for fuel which converted is 44pence here. We're paying $7+ dollars a gallon here.
If McDonalds costs more, go less often and buy some real food instead.

But we're feeling it much worse.

Hmm, you just may have to become like the rest of us and think about what we buy first. We ALL feel the pinch of taxes, price hikes etc but thats just life.

My town was $1.38CAD/litre yesterday. It's extremely steep, but just be fortunate that's your only "disaster" to worry about - Things could be much worse then bitching about gas prices.
Lots of whining, if you can't afford gas you should have studied harder in school so you would have a better job and more money.
Petrol is much more expensive in the U.K so you can't moan shit, unless you actually believe that Americans have a god given right to have a better deal than anyone else in the world then you had better just start getting used to it.
It seriously doesn't help the situation when the cars driven in U.S.A have engines that would put a combine harvester to shame, try something more economical, get a better job or shut the fuck up
Listen Kid, if the whinging bothers you so much, don't read the thread, its that simple K. Here’s a hint for you, if the title of the thread reads GAS PRICES, there’s a strong chance your gonna get people complaining about......guess what ? ........FUCKING GAS PRICES.

What those Brits and other Euro-peein's aren't admitting to is that THEIR goverment Taxes the FUCK out of their fuel to raise the costs to what they pay now. Remove all those taxes and they are pretty much on par with what we are at here.
Not to mention that their Countries are around the size of one of our average states, they get clean public transportation to anywhere important and that companies in Europe who rely on fuel as a part of their business (delivery, hauling, taxis) get tax breaks on their fuel consumption. What I drive in a day for work would allow most Englanders to do several laps around their country.
Oh, and if you are living in the Metro Atlanta area, good luck on find a station that even HAS gas to sell, don't believe the press, nearly 4 out of every 5 gas-stations I passed by over the weekend didn't have shit to sell. And until they can get that mess along the Gulf cleaned up, this will continue here in the south. Fuck.
And if you want cheap gas, goto Russia, I did the math with an online friend and they are around a buck fitty for a gallon of fuel.
I'm lovin' this.... i just bought my first car at the beginning of the summer.... good timing eh?
The whole European and Brit v American thing is tiresome and boring. Grow up kids, fuel prices affect the whole world, not just where you live.
