Bann that Smirnoff jokerz self made release group!
Replica did a decent job on this one.
Odd that they would rip the spanish subs and leave the french.

Great job to Replica however.
Got an Athlon 3000+, it plays the H.264 fine. Save a bit of CPU using celtic_cruid's latest build of MPlayer. Would be nice if Apple atleast tried to optimise playback of their H.264 video for on Windows machines though.
x264 (an open-source H.264 based codec) IMO even at this early stage is ahead of Apple's H.264 codec in terms of quality. No surprise though.
Good DVDR release!
he means the IKA release i think, also this does warrant a proper as IKA left in 900mb of trailers and with no sound, so the extra 700kbps for movie is well worth it.

Good DVDR release!![]()
) and that played 100% fine, but it didn't look very impressive. It's only really the Grimm trailer that blew me away and hurt my computer. Only on fast motion. Slow moving stuff was perfectly smooth playback.

On a side note (while talking video quality). I got QuickTime 7 Pro and watched the Brothers Grimm trailer in H.264!!! HOLY SHIT! Had it on my large TV (@1280x720). Absolutely incredible. So much background detail. No artifacting. Sharp and clear. Makes DVDs look like VHS. Only issue is that it stutters. Apparently I need a dual 2.8GHz to run that shit, yet a Mac can run it on a freggin' Mac Classic. I am sure it will get optimized for Intel/AMD chips.
But back to the release. This one is definitely the one (and currently only real) release to get.
Video 7.5/10 - Eh, I'm picky. And watching the H.264 trailer didn't helpGreat job to Replica however. [/B]

Any suggestion to lump that machine over to the 21st century ?
::EDIT:: This is a REVIEW THREAD, stoppit!! - NS::

It's so long since I watched the Telecine of this I'd almost forgotten what it was about. Replica's transfer is much better than the Telecine of course and has the advantage of 5.1 surround 'though not DTS or a director's commentary. Motion is a bit jerky during the fast action sequences and there are the trademark Replica menu glitches which are easilly cured with PGCedit.
Not having liked Gladiator I was all ready to slag off this movie but it's really quite good. A bit too much like Troy in some respects but a decent stroyline which doesn't stretch credulity too far.
