have you tried demuxing it with another program and re in tmp? Or maybe that is when mpg1 stops and mpg2 begins...

Posted by geoffbob30 on 05-03-2005 09:54 AM:

i went for the easy option and used nero it worked ok but have you got a suggestion for an alternative program

Posted by MarkMathers on 05-03-2005 10:18 PM:

Posted by geoffbob30 on 05-03-2005 10:24 PM:

Posted by buckshot on 05-04-2005 11:48 PM:

bloody helll, I was having that same problem with nero, so I switched to dvd santa...and same thing...about three minutes into the second part of the mpeg, sound goes out....but the vcd that I burned plays great...is it some how messing up when I copy the data onto the hard drive......

help

Im also having problems with disc 1 because of this error.

I can burn the image onto a disc fine or mount it onto a virtual drive to watch but if i try to get at the file to put back onto my hardrive so i can run it through tmpeg or canopus etc to make one file for dvd authoring i keep getting an error when it gets to about 84% of reading the file.

can you suggest or help please as i can get at disc 2 file but not disc 1.

i use vcd gear to extract the mpeg from the bin/cue files (with fix mpeg ticked), then do a simple demultiplex with tmpgenc's mpeg tools, transcode the audio to 48 with ffmpeg, then just import into dvdlab-pro and author away (dont like using dvdlab for the demux and transcoding). This way doesnt actually join the two (or however many discs it was) mpeg files, each mpeg is just treated as a different title, and just manually join them to run concurrently.

i know there are quicker ways of putting a svcd onto dvd, i just find this way works better for me.

some ppl like svcd2dvd (which i do sometimes use, but the audio seems to be hit and miss), others like to use dvd patcher, and others dont bother and just use cd's....its just a matter of trying different methods and see which one works best for you.
