lol.. damn coffin scene in the sample... so scary in the theatres... nyways I love dvdr, it's a beautiful thing and I can't see any problems with this rls... will edit when I watch the whole thing. Shame the DTS had to go and the video resampled, but heh this movie was fuckin big (almost dropped it when moving it round the projection booth.0

/edit maybe it is the lack of sleep or maybe I just wasnt paying attention, but I did not see the menu... after the fbi warning the player stopped and when I pressed play again it was into the movie. Subtitles also looking "strange"... like a white/black color mix.. it's weird.

This is the kind of reply that ruins this board. First of all, everyone is entitled to their opinion about which movies they like or don't like. We don't need to label people as 'mentally challenged' just because you don't agree with that person's taste. The admins should enforce an automatic ban for this kind of behavior.

I love this site and I am so grateful for it but I tend to skip the comments about the movies as irrelevant as dc_man pointed out, sometimes I can help but to fuel the fire.

Yeah Harold and Kumar have been getting good early buzz.

Anyway vip3r there is no uncut version of the movie. They didn't need to cut this one. Just the first one cause of that huge swordfight.

Let me give Replicrap props for the pre release, but some serious fuckups. The conversation with Bill and Budd at the beginning of the movie there was a BLEEPED Word. Don't think that happen when watching this in the theatre. Unless i was in the restroom at the time. The subs are fucked up during the part with Pai Mei and Beatrix Kiddo. Subs are black with white outline, very dark and hard to read on anyones TV. Shit forgot to add that you have to hit English subs on your dvd player when that part of the movie comes up. Since it doesn't do to english when Pai Mei and Beatrix talks.
Neverless, good job Replicrap, that's why i always burn Replicrap releases on DVD-RW, just in case it is crap... LOL.. Hoping for a R1 release though

From the Sample I saw, it's about on par with 8/8/10

The bleep at the beginning, when Budd and Bill talk was in the movie in theaters. It's when Bill mention's the Brides real name (like they did in Vol 1), they don't stop bleeping it until chapter 9.

Wow your special, The Bleep censors an NAME they did this in vol.1 the name is later revealed in the movie, The subs are DEFAULT got a complaint? take it up with Q-T since hes the one that agreed to them being pressed onto the retail DVD.

Ugh.. =/ Go kill yourself... This is a R1 release, and the bleep is intentional..

The release isnt perfect, but with a movie of this size, i think Replica did the best they possibly could. I now await for porco to correct this statement

Well when you rip subs sometimes the coloring is all fucked. Default or not, Replicrap should have corrrected that, not to hard to do esp using Subrip. The movie itself had white subs for the Pai Mei and Beatrix Kiddo scene. You telling me that Q.T told the guys to press different sub colors for the dvd retail release and make you auto select the english subs on the dvd when the Pai Mei and Beatrix scene happen. Yea right

Man... If your illegal pre-released copy ain't good enough for you, :: EDIT :: please feel free to make your own rip. Sub colors are easy to fix in the IFO movie file.

6 on audio? :: EDIT :: I would be delighted to hear which criteria you based your audio ratings on. Untouched audio = 6... Hmm...

Not defending Replica, but when your :: EDIT :: posts (ie: your initial post) come around, I can't help choose the opposite side you're on.

For all other people, I think the release was real good!

Video was very decent/good for a 136 min movie. I am personally glad to see Replica using CCE (or at least their NFOs state this)... Definitely no major complaints. They did the best they could

Movie only, no extras. Most likely for fans ( :: EDITED OUT FLAME :: ), we'll buy it, so 8/10 on the DVD. Buy it for the DTS and the extras (I wonder if it will be a 2 disc set? Hehehe, I wonder even about the DTS part

). I do hate to agree with this, but the subs were a mess up for sure. But fixing this is possible of course (as it was with the un-cut Volume 1).

Good pre job Replica. Only complaint would be a little time spent checking the release before RAR'ing it. But nothing that can't be fixed up.

Funny how you complain and blame the sub problem on Replica when the SVCD version has the same problem! Also you call Replica crap. Look what they did the past week! They released 4 good quality dvds (The Girl Next Door, Godsend, Man on Fire, and Kill Bill Vol 2). And that's not including the extras side for The Girl Next Door.

when i saw kb2 in the cinema the subs were the standard large yellow font, and they were part of the film itself, same goes for my telecines of kb1 and 2...

i just ordered this so looking forward to messing around with the IFOs to fix up the subs (my tc had the top and bottom cropped so my friends couldn't read them properly) - lord knows how i'm gonna manage but hey practice makes perfect

and i agree everyone who's getting a bit miffed with ppl flaming, and it just entices us to watch our backs when we say film X is good or bad....

the dvd has 2 english subtitle tracks.
the first one is automatically selected and will come on when people speak in foreign tongues.

the 2nd sub track is everything subbed.

it does look ugly black with white drop shadow is what it looks like.

Hope someone releases a PPF fix for it.

Ya, it's definitely not easy to please everyone. Personally I believe you can anything you want as long as it is structured and well put together. But then there are those people who push everyone over the edge.

Of course I am not saying I am the kettle the pot's calling black, as I am just as guilty of flaming. But I do hope things don't escalate this far in the future

It's meant to be bleeped in that part, you dingbat. I find it hard to believe you were in the bathroom that early in the movie if you saw it in theaters. About the subs, blame Miramax for not releasing vol 1 and 2 with the original yellow subs on the actual film image.

So this file is an .img file, and i tried to burn it with copy to dvd. Everything was fine until the end when in finalizing the disk it got to the end and kept repeating the last three bars and kept counting down from :59 to :00 over and over again. Any one know anything about this? Should i be using a different program?

Yes things are in black and white, and you'll hear censor sounds (BEEEEEEP) durring parts of the movie its all normal.

Well... except kill bill v1. for usa release the b&w is normal in the huge bloody fight, but it's full color in other countries.
