Viewing from sample and a couple of rar files on cd 1 picture is cropped but still ok,very clean and nice colour also the only thing that lets this release down is the audio The audio has been taken from a cam source and isn't direct you can really hear the echo in the audio but saying it's still clear and understandable but can see this getting nuked for cam audio

video = 8
audio = 6
film = will watch soon as got full release

I agree that the sound as abit of an echo to it, but after viewing nearly the entire release. I would say that the Sound seems Direct to me. Perhaps a mic was used like the good ol boom mic days of CTP. Anyhow. Wow Nice Clean, Clear, Crisp albeit a tad cropped oh well, Video. KEEP EM COMING NBP!!!

Video: 8 Very Clean print. Looks like a nice Telecine to me.

Audio: 7 A definite echo, and NOT as good as Serenity audio was thats for sure.

Movie: 7 A decent Film. Good acting and solid story, NOT a Jodie Foster fan sorry.

Also viewed from sample. Cropped (top and bottom) like "serenity" audio seems direct - clear. Best release so far.
Video - 8
Audio - 8
Movie - 8 Good movie

A Boom mic? hahha, sorry not trying to insult but just so you know those mics you saw weren't from centrophy. unless you were actually referring to the direct audio from the handicap hearing impaired jacks. if you look more closely the microphone is actually in the SCENE of the movie, ie its from the boom mic crew person working on the film. centropy was somehow camming the whole movie frame, the part that is normally cropped at the theatre. if the projector person messes up and doesn't frame the output correctly you would see those boom mics as the video has extra on the top and bottom when filmed. I saw american pie 1 at the theatre and they messed up there as we could all see the boom mics and assumed it was because the film was so low budget they missed it in editing. but later found it people who saw it at other theatres did not see the boom mics.

anyway, about the quality:
comparing it the the previous best version(orc release), the video definitely looks TC quality, does look somewhat cropped which is odd for a TC(unless there was perhaps hardcoded subs in the source they cropped out in the svcd but wont know if its cropped until we have a dvd rip to compare side by side). audio sounds direct to me, especially if you compare it side by side to the cams. I think we got spoiled with the direct dts->cd audio conversion from the old dts discs. If you haven't seen it yet, this is the one to get(or the xvid which i assume will be out shortly if not already)

8/7/4(end was dumb and predictable)

This release by NBP is the same quality as the Serenity of yesterday, after comparing this with the ORC release I can tell you that this ISNT cropped at all, its just in widescreen which gives the appeasence of large black bars top and bottom, I had both releases playing at the same time to compare them and cropping is the same.

This actually looks like a proper Telecine from NBP. AR definitely isn't as bad as Great Raid, and Serenity. It is very wide though. Sound is definitely NOT CAM. Its direct, and very clear. Picture is very sharp with good colors. Keep em comin NBP.

CATBOX

9- I wish we had copies like this of all movies weeks after theatre release

8- nice, but a slight vibration hum in the background

8- Not the greatest reviews, but a good flick none the less

wonderful video... just a little bit cropped (top & bottom) but very watchable.
audio like it has been said -> more cam audio than direct.

didn't see the movie yet, dunno what to think about it. :-)

Video quality is actually really nice for a TC, but the audio makes it unwatchable.....sorry, for me, if the video is ok and the sound is great I will watch it, but I can't deal with bad audio and this release is aweful! Nice try guys!

I'd be happy if all releases were this clean...

Mate, no one in "The Forgotten" is in this film. The plot is similar- but that's it. So... not sure what ur on about.

Anywho- on to the review. Definitely a TC. Overcropped IMO, but doesn't take away from the movie any. Video and Audio quality are both awesome. Thx to grp.

Video: 8, gets an 8 cause of cropping
Audio: 7, sounds like it's from a cam. lots of echoing
Movie: 6, i liked it

Good sharp colors, a little crop job but nothing too bad. The sound is pretty decent, I'm not buying it's CAM. Good Movie. Overall a sweet release.

No insult here the releases may have been b4 your time..Look up this release:

Undercover.Brother.SVCD.TS-CENTROPY

boom mic was dangled over the projector screen in a private theatre. And Clearly NOT a part of the film crew. It would even bob up and down a few times in the way of the top of the pic. Anyhow, I still think the audio is a tad off on Flightplan. Still Great Work by NBP overall!!

Ahhh... the good 'ole days. Now that you mention it, I do remember hearing about and seeing the mic in that release. Totally forgot about that...

Now why would a group do all that trouble of bringing a boom mic and setting it up when they could easily plug their audio input from the audio out of the projector or the handicap jack. And then put the mic in the screen where we know there is no sound that comes out – sound comes from speakers in the left and right side none from the screen. I agree with missyprissy on this one. I’m not really sure why I’m replying to this one, this has been discussed so many times already.
Boom mic discussion
And further explanation
Problems with open-matte release

Additionally, this was cropped (mostly in the bottom and little bit off the top) to hide the Russian, Chinese, or whatever subtitle it had.
