I saw american pie 1 at the theatre and they messed up there as we could all see the boom mics and assumed it was because the film was so low budget they missed it in editing. but later found it people who saw it at other theatres did not see the boom mics.
anyway, about the quality:
comparing it the the previous best version(orc release), the video definitely looks TC quality, does look somewhat cropped which is odd for a TC(unless there was perhaps hardcoded subs in the source they cropped out in the svcd but wont know if its cropped until we have a dvd rip to compare side by side). audio sounds direct to me, especially if you compare it side by side to the cams. I think we got spoiled with the direct dts->cd audio conversion from the old dts discs. If you haven't seen it yet, this is the one to get(or the xvid which i assume will be out shortly if not already)
8/7/4(end was dumb and predictable)
No insult here the releases may have been b4 your time..Look up this release:
Undercover.Brother.SVCD.TS-CENTROPY
boom mic was dangled over the projector screen in a private theatre. And Clearly NOT a part of the film crew. It would even bob up and down a few times in the way of the top of the pic. Anyhow, I still think the audio is a tad off on Flightplan. Still Great Work by NBP overall!!
