-- Rob Zombie. (http://www.vcdhq.com/forum/showthread.php?threadid=71977)
Rob Zombie.
I was shocked to hear that he would be making the new Halloween. But I have a feeling he can make it something great. Opinions?

Opinion is, I haven't watched all the Halloween movies so I don't give a fuck if they make another, do not really giving a fuck who directs it.
It has been done to death, not even Freddy Krueger could make it interesting. Halloween 24, Jason vs ME, believe me I would put that cunt down for good.
Yeah, as much as I love the movies they do need to put an end to the madness.

As long as it's not Uwe Boll the movie has a chance. Zombie filmed some cut-aways for the new Tarantino/Avary flick/s, Grindhouse. And Trejo is in the new Halloween. Maybe Zombie's falling in with the right crowd.
But, I guess like most other people, Halloween III was the one after which I lost any interest...the ones I've seen all merge into each other after that. H20 sparked some interest in me...and then after watching it I remembered why I'd given up. The original is a cinema classic though, and the sequel aint half bad either.
Friday the 13th...didn't really do it for me. The first was an average slasher flick, below the quality of many gialli made by Brava, Argento, Fulci and the like, and the rest...well, I can't call them all shit as I've only seen a couple, but I'd be surprised if they were anything else.
The Elm Street movies were the ones that kept their flavour longest. The first two creeped me out and the next two were watchable. Slipped by the time they got to #5, but it was a good run.

For anybody who has seen Grindhouse, how was the trailer?
Edit: Nevermind, here is the trailer. http://www.bloody-disgusting.com/bdtv/377
I have to say, it looks like Rob Zombie has made another great movie.
I had high hopes and I still do.

"Here it is guys, the brand new re-cut trailer for Rob Zombie's Halloween, which can be viewed over at BDTV (make sure to rate it and tell us what you think)! What's unique about the trailer is that it's a "yellow-band" as opposed to "red-band", a new color code by the MPAA. So here it is, the first ever "yellow" trailer! In addition, we've been supplied with the title treatment for the film that can be viewed inside. Michael Myers returns on August 31!"
Yellow-band? Umm. Ok.
