What is the best standalone DVD

In your opinion what is the best standalone DVD player?
one that plays most formats without a problem.

Pioneer 444 for the person who wants a top brand name and a better chance of the parts lasting over time and Apex 1500 for the budget concerned buyer. Both do the same and both are great.

The Dansai 852 is the business. My pals has 3, and they take anything he can throw at them.

You could try the Naiko 2051. Same insides, but it's got the 5.1 sound outputs as well.

Watchin dvds on this baby is a pleasure....
On the down side it dont play all the new formats so ive had to bite the bullet and buy a cyberhome 528L.
The picture qual aint as good as the sony but hey i can watch svcds dvdrs and the rest..
