Id like to know YOUR settings for the speed you described above. What youre saying is that for an NTSC movie encoded originally using forcefilm, you are re-encoding at 44fps(and thats without executing 3:2 pulldown!) or a PAL movie at 45.83fps.
Would you please list your settings in tmpg, your source (xvid/divx,mpg2 svcd, mpg1 vcd) and its frame size (if xvid/divx), your output file format and bitrate and the encoding method used (single pass cbr, two pass vbr or any in between).
Also, since hardware does play a huge role in encoding speed, what proccessor do you have?
Your post has me very curious because in my experience this speed is unheard of in an mpeg encoder. Especially Tmpg which is generally a good deal slower than CCE.
