...i dont think it quite works that way... the fullscreen is taken from the widescreen print.

so a widescreen is cropped from the original source, and then a fullscreen is cropped from the widescreen source, so basically a fullscreen release is double cropped

if you wish to see a comparison, here is an image of the fullscreen release, matched up to the new widescreen release (both are at the same frame, so its easy to see what your missing in the fullscreen )

well ACTUALLY, i learned something new...

its wise to check both versions if possible. in most cases, fullscreen releases are double cropped. but obviously in some cases (like spider 2), its not completely right. i compared some more sequences...anyway, look for my post on the spider-man 2 widescreen divx post, for another comparison....
