If you're gonna go ahead and dremel it like Neversoft suggested, then don't bother bridging the points, it already looks like you've desoldered the chip.

I'd just solder from the exposed points on the drive chip to the modchip itself.

Although I had to do an install to the drive leg and that was tricky enough, a steady hand and a GOOD soldering iron will be needed to do this.

Neversoft, suck my cock and fuck my cunt.

Yup, listen to NS, do it yourself. Soldering isn't rocket science. Get yourself a good free-standing magnifying glass (have a magnify lamp myself), and ever so slightly tin the wire to be soldered straight onto drive chip. Put some flux onto cut leg of drive chip (dont try to tin it!). then just touch very quickly the wire with your iron while holding it against cut leg. Joint will quickly and easily be made.

or in Gordon Ramsay style

LOOK THROUGH FUCKING MAGNIFIER,
TIN FUCKING WIRE,
FLUX FUCKING DRIVE CHIP,
TOUCH WIRE WITH FUCKING IRON,
SOLDERING FUCKING DONE!

He's NOT doing it to the drive chip leg. There isn't a fucking leg there. What he needs to do is actually REMOVE a bit of the top of the drive chip (the black bit) by either burning it or via dremel and THEN solder to the contacts revealed underneath. It's incredibly risky.

i didnt desolder the chip, just posted the picture that showed me why the chip wasnt working

i havent a steady hand by far, this is why im not trying, naturally shaky and the alcoholism doesnt help...
