Okay, there are no 'secret societies' controlling things 'behind the curtain.' The problem is this, our ruling bodies (I'll use presidential as allegory for congressmen etc etc as well):
Major Republican Candidate
Major Democratic Candidate
Campaigns paid for both by:
The same major multinational corporations.
The ones we elect, answer to the ones we do not elect. These are not public servants, this is also all public record. People aren't being misled, people are blissfully ignorant. I love how conspiracy nuts claim about these secret societies, new world order, skull & bones rah rah rah when it's plain as day 'hey, that major corporation spent millions to help the guy get elected, and, HOLY SHIT HE VOTED TO PASS A BILL THAT WOULD HELP THEM!', where is the shocking conspiracy in all this? If that shocks you then you simply haven't been paying attention.
I'll agree the fed system as a whole is generally fucked but it's also proven a basis for a lot of prosperity, it's at least a shiny stick that's being shoved up our asses. I don't see the revolution happening in our lifetime though that will be changing it, better be saving those useless pieces of paper or find a life 'off the grid'.
