motion blur doesn't have anything to do with NTSC/PAL it is usually caused by encoding with a CBR (constant bit rate) so scenes that require alot of bits for the scene will not get the necessary amount and become "blurry".

Uh, no. The motion blur most definitely *is* as a result of CTP capturing in NTSC (30fps) instead of PAL (25fps).

Films run at 24fps, so when you capture them in PAL format, you only get one extra, blurred frame per second. With NTSC, you get six per second. Much more noticable.

Video quality is okay. Below-average for CTP.

Sound is good, but seems slightly out of sync.

7/7/?

It's nice to see them doing NTSC releases... it saves me the trouble of having to re-encode them.

Mistmatched Frame Rate Causes Flicker

Mistmatched Frame Rate Causes Flicker! A movie in a projecter in a theater, film crosses the apature at 24 frames per second. There is a spinning device called a shutter. It is shaped like a bow tie. This meaning the area of the shutter spinning cuts of light and the open area lets light through. Have you ever been in a theater and the film seemed to flicker? If so the setting of the shutter and what is called an intermittent sprocket the acutual pulls down the sprocketed film. This sprocket gear that pulls down the frame while the bow shaped shutter is blocking the light. If the movement of the frame and the shutter are out of sync then there is a flicker. This goes for video tape of a 24 frames per second movie. 30 fps causes flicker not blurring. 25 fps causes a very minor flicker but it's stil there if you look.
The new cameras 24P and 24P Advanced have no flicker unless the projector shutter is off. The idea that a frame rate cause a blurr is not correct. Motion blurr is caused by encoding with not optimized settings. CBR SVCD's are nuked. They must be compliant. VBR not to exceed 2500 bits per second, average bit rate is the trade off for size on each CD with a minimun pretty standard at 350 bps. Less motion blur is treated by doing mulitple passes with the encoder like Cinema Craft Encoder. Which compares the infor mation of previous frames, the frame being done and the frame that follows. Across mutiple passes.

what! no you dont get blur from that, you could capture it at 400 fps for all I care, it still would'nt blur it, ever heard of a little thing called 3:2 pulldown. plus this is a TS, so it's not frame for frame anayway

why? oh why? would anyone post such a stupid comment?

Read the label. its an internal! And if they took the time to film it themselves and work on it why NOT release it?

Lame

Your reply is really lame! if what you are saying would make any sence (which it doesnt) the scene would be flooded with lame internals!
If you a group gets beat on a release, then they get beat, there is no need for internal; as far as all the "work" they put in on the release, well.. who cares really!
They can take that as a learning experience to hurry up on future releases.
