WMP wont run!

for some reason, windows media player wont run. Cant really understand why, when i double click it, DVDRegion free starts up, but WMP doesnt and its not in task manager either.weird.

Dont use it as a player, but it means i cant view alot of streaming videos, which sucks.

Using XP home with SP2, and installed wmp10 to see if that worked, no such luck.

any ideas?

Admin?

Uninstall it, run a little "Registry Cleaner" to mop-up any fucked keys it leaves in the registry then reinstall... Should do the trick

I suggest stop using WMP all together. VLC Player is a MUCH cleaner, less-intensive and more format-friendly media player. Playing SVCD/VCD/XviD/etc.etc...That + FFDSHOW (Codec Pack) and you'll never need to use that WMP garbage again. trust me, youll thank em later

the only thing i am having problems with is viewing media clips on web pages that require wmp, i normally use media player classic for movies etc.

is there a way to get your browser to use mpc instead of wmp for this purpose? had a look through firefox settings, no luck.
