bad quality source?
By the sample, it looks like the colours are a bit off (a little too saturated or something). It's unfortunate that the sample is so short and doesn't show any scenes with vibrant colours but the colours in the sample make the quality of the source look like it is in question. I could be wrong though (and hope that I am) since I haven't seen either the film version (i.e. in theatres) or the TC version. Basically I'm judging from the part in the sample where it shows Statham's face, which is pretty short. That's why I wish the sample showed more (it's only 16 seconds long and doesn't show much in that time). After all, it could have just been a filter used for that one shot. I'll repost after I get the whole thing (If I haven't been corrected already)
7.5/8/?
Edit: OK, after scanning through the full version, I see that the rest of the movie is the same. It definitely looks like a dvd rip, but the dvd source looks a slight bit "off". Maybe it's because it's a PAL DVD? DVDs look different in the North American market (from what I'm used to anyway). The colours somehow look better and the image is a bit more crisp. I don't know if that's a PAL/NTSC thing (theoretically PAL is supposed to be better though). Anyway, the group did a good job encoding, I guess I'm just a bit picky about the source. I'll know for sure when I see a rip of an NTSC source. It could be a mastering issue as well.
