I care. I downloaded both versions and while iLG's does have a higher bitrate, I tend to agree that it is probably a re-encode of ArDVD's release.
Bottom line though, iLG's version is still much better simply because it was encoded by someone who knew what they were doing. It's properly cropped and it's not truncated. With ArDVD's version, even ffdshow barely wants to decode it, let alone any more unforgiving players.
To answer your questions, there are no messages or B&W parts, most likely because it's not really a dvdscr to begin with. It seems more like a quick & dirty R3. There are, however, Korean hard-subs throughout the entire movie, and there's a fair amount of Cantonese dialogue that is spoken without any English subs.
The movie itself was good, except for the ending which seemed rather rushed and unfinished. I regret listening to the idiot critics who said it was just another Jumper and I should've gone to see it in the theater.
Rated as somewhere between a dvdscr and a R5... 6/8/7.5
